John Gordon Harold, MD, MACC
ACC President

President John Gordon Harold, MD, MACC, is a clinical professor of Medicine at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute in Los Angeles. Harold completed his cardiology training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and his internal medicine training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He holds an appointment as clinical professor of medicine at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in cardiology in 1985 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he began his practice in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. As president, he plans to address state and national issues affecting the management of cardiovascular disease.

David May, MD, PhD, FACC
Chair, Board of Governors

Secretary David May, MD, PhD, FACC, currently works as a managing partner at his private practice, Cardiovascular Specialists, PA (CVS). He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Louisville and, in 1980, received his medical degree summa cum laude from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Following medical school, he completed his PhD in pharmacology and toxicology at the same institution. May also serves as chair of the ACC Board of Governors (BOG).
